About Pastor Kevin

Our Pastor

Pastor Kevin Ratliff serves as Senior Pastor of Cornerstone Christian Church. Pastor Kevin currently resides in Commercial Point with his wife Audrea of 19 years, and their two children Gracie and Eli. Pastor Kevin accepted Christ at 22 years old and has faithfully served in ministry for 29 years. He is a humble, gifted servant of God that takes great joy in caring for the families of CCC through preaching, teaching, hospital visitation, and spending quality time with church members.

Gospel Preaching

The delivery of the gospel by Pastor Kevin proclaims why Biblical text is relevant. He passionately encourages the members of CCC through life application of Christ centered truth. The CCC congregation is provided a bulletin that includes an outline of the weekly sermon for home study.

Pastor Kevin believes “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” (Rom 10:9). It is upon this foundation that Christ built the Church. During the Great Commission to His disciples, Jesus said “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned” (Mark 16:15-16). Our Pastor follows this example given to the disciples.

Bible Teaching

The annual Cornerstone Christian Church bible study curriculum was written by Pastor Kevin that includes the origins of the Bible, fall of man, and the redemption of mankind through the sacrifice of Christ. Pastor Kevin provides insights into Gods eternal plan revealed through scripture. Our Bible study program focuses on healthy study habits with Gods Word to help CCC members grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (Eph 1:17-18, I Pet 2:2, II Pet 3:18).

Discipleship

Cornerstone Christian Church members are encouraged by Pastor Kevin to be disciples for Christ. After the resurrection, Jesus told His disciples to “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. CCC members are equipped to be disciples for Christ through prayer, daily scripture reading, fellowship, and a testimony of their hope in Jesus through a changed life.

Pastor Kevin’s Statement of Faith

I believe the Bible is inerrant, infallible, and inspired

I believe the Father, Son and Holy Spirit represent the Godhead

I believe in the virgin birth of Christ, the Son of God

I believe Christ died, was buried, and arose on the third day

I believe the blood of Christ atones for all sin

I believe Christ ascended and intercedes for sins

I believe salvation is obtained by grace and through faith in Christ

I believe baptism is an answer of a clear conscience

I believe in the second coming of Christ
